place was full of kids around age 10 and under and the staff member Mohammed was just walking around swearing the whole time, really loudly too, concept of the place is great but needs better staff!
Awful experience. Booked and paid weeks in advance, arrived to find no availability. Six disappointed children left with nothing to do at birthday celebration. No phones switched on to contact anybody, no staff, no pc's set up. Not as advertised, total rip off and no customer service. Very poor show. Doesn't deserve 1 star but couldn't post without leaving one.
Always fun for the kids… Just as much fun for the adults too… Prices are great. Staff are super…
Was in the trafford centre and had a spare hour, the pcs had next to no games installed and only trash like fortnight and roblox, downloading something wasn't possible because it was so slow so 5 mins into the session me and my son turned off the pcs and walked out. Waste of money.
Decided to edit to add some constructive feedback:
Firstly every pc needs to have a good selection of games already installed and updated (this should be standardised across all machines).. storage is cheap make use of it. Having games preinstalled that you cant launch because it wants an update and the admin password just is a poor experience. Automatic updates should he applied and setup a local steam cache/egs cache.. then installs and updates will be fast reducing network latency.
Have a clear list of the games posted prior to paying customers gaining entry. Offer controllers for pcs as well (some gamers prefer them).
Me and my son are big gamers we have top end pcs xboxs switches etc you name it. But when we couldn't find anything worth playing and were sat there on our phones watching things update at a snails pace and ended up saying let's go then you have failed to capture interest of some of the most avid consumers of your entertainment, that isn't a good situation and upper management should take a look.
2 stars because the concept is good, but the execution not up to scratch currently. They operate in hour timeslots, yet 25 mins past the hour we were still queueing on the stairs to get in. Once up there, a simple question: what games do you have, couldn't be answered - both guys said dunno. There was advertising up the stairs for the game Worms, which I was keen to play, but when we got there they said they don't have it and wasn't sure why it was being advertised. None of the stations had been set up following the exit of the previous group, that meant that all of the people in front had to be individually set up after payment, causing further delay. There were several issues with passwords needing to be entered or people not being able to get on games - which was a domino effect as there was only one person helping with this. The selection of drink and snacks is very strange, you can't get standard things including water despite the room being roasting. Overall, needs some work to make this a better experience.
Comedy of Gaming Errors at Belong
Belong... more like "Belong Nowhere Near This Place!" My recent visit was a sideshow of epic gaming fails. Picture this: none of the games on the PS5 worked, as if the console had an allergy to fun. And surprise, surprise, there were no games installed either – it's like they were embracing minimalism in the worst way possible.
As for the ping, it was so high that it felt like the ghosts of dial-up internet past were haunting me. I half-expected a buffering wheel to appear mid-game!
Belong, you've truly mastered the art of wasting time and money. I left with my wallet lighter and my sense of humor heavier. If you're looking for a laugh, visit Belong. But if you want to actually play games, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else!
Lovely staff on the bottom floor. Lovely and keen to help. Top floor gaming though, the staff member up there was horrible to me! He told me to him my food which I did then he kicked me out!
Paid £5 for an hour which sounds good but I spent 30 minutes updating the game I wanted to play and once I got in, I averaged 300 ping making for unplayable gameplay.
